Katie Nelson Stone
Katie brings 10 years of experience in program management, event planning, and community engagement to the Greater Portland Inc team. Katie received a bachelor’s degree in Family and Human Services and History from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree in History from Portland State University, where she studied the history of the City of Portland. Prior to working with GPI, Katie worked in recruitment, sponsorship, and case management for a non-profit adoption agency and in volunteer program management for a public library.
Community engagement and event planning have been focal points of Katie’s professional career and she is excited to have landed at Greater Portland Inc. In her free time, Katie enjoys camping with her husband and dogs, reading, writing, historical research, and enjoying Portland’s food scene.
