    CORVALLIS, Ore. – Researchers in the Oregon State University College of Engineering have taken a key step toward improving the lives of patients with epilepsy by developing a sensor system for quickly testing their saliva to see if they have the correct level of anti-epileptic medicine in their system.     An Oregon State University researcher will use a $3 million federal grant to study a battery technology that avoids the use of elements that could come into short supply as electric vehicle adoption expands. Eby, a former housing minister, became premier-designate in October after being acclaimed as leader of the New Democrats.
